See which competitors ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity name for your prompts, where they sit in the answer, which of their pages get cited, and the prompts they win that you do not.
Competitor intelligence for AI search is the record of which brands AI engines recommend instead of you. In AI Rank Lab, every prompt you run on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode is stored with the brands named, their order, their sentiment and the URLs cited. The Competitors view adds those answers up per rival and lists the prompts where a rival is named and you are not.
It measures what the engines actually said. For an AI-written opinion of each rival's strengths, see Competitor analysis; for the domains and pages behind the answers, see Citation analytics.
What competitor intelligence shows
Every number comes from answers we stored when you ran your prompts. Nothing is estimated.
A competitor benchmark from real AI answers
Each prompt run records which brands the engine named, in what order, and which URLs it cited. The Competitors view adds them up: mentions, average rank, rival domains and the AI answers that cite them, next to your own numbers.

Prompt gaps: where rivals are named and you are not
A prompt gap is a question where an engine recommends a competitor and leaves you out. Those are the buyers being introduced to someone else. Filter your prompts to find them, engine by engine.

Whose pages AI engines cite
Citations show which domains and URLs the engines pulled from: your pages, rival pages, and the listicles and review sites that mention both. The co-citation timeline shows when a rival started appearing.

How AI describes each rival, and what to publish
Rival sentiment shows whether the engines endorse, stay neutral on, or criticise each competitor. A competitor content scan reads their recent articles from their sitemaps and suggests a counter-strategy.

From prompt to a closed gap
You run prompts when you choose. Nothing runs on a timer except the weekly re-check of prompts you opt in.
It is the competitor view of your AI visibility data. When you run your prompts on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews and AI Mode, every answer is stored with the brands named, their order and the cited URLs. Competitor intelligence adds that up per rival and shows the prompts where they are named and you are not.
How many competitors can I track?
There is no list to maintain: every brand the engines name in your stored answers is counted, including rivals you had not thought of. How much you can measure depends on how many prompts and engines you run, which your plan's credits decide.
What is a 'prompt gap' and why does it matter?
A prompt gap is a question where an AI engine names or cites a competitor but not you. The person asking is being introduced to your rival. Gaps tell you which page to write or fix first, and the Action Plan turns one into topic briefs.
How is AI Rank Lab's Competitor Intelligence different from Ahrefs or SEMrush?
Ahrefs and Semrush are strongest at Google rankings, backlinks and traffic estimates, and both now offer AI visibility reports too. AI Rank Lab works at the level of the prompt and the engine: the stored answer, who it names, what it cites, and then the fix, the article and the publishing in the same suite.
Can I set alerts when a competitor overtakes me on a key prompt?
Not today. There are no automatic competitor alerts. Re-run the prompts you care about to compare, and opt Action Plan prompts into citation tracking, which re-checks them weekly.
How do I view my organic competitors in LLMs?
Add the prompts your buyers ask, run them on the engines, then open Brand Visibility and the Competitors view. It lists every brand the answers named, with mentions, average rank and cited URLs. Those are your organic competitors in AI search, which are often different from your Google competitors.
Is there a platform that shows how AI engines describe my company compared to competitors?
Yes. Each stored answer records the sentiment of the mention, and the Competitors view shows the tone the engines use for each rival next to yours. Open any answer to read the exact wording.
How often is competitor data updated?
Whenever you run your prompts. AI Rank Lab does not run prompts on a timer; the exception is Action Plan prompts you opt into citation tracking, which are re-checked weekly.
