What is regex (regular expression) replacement?

Can I replace text with nothing (delete it)?

Yes. Leave the 'Replace With' field empty to delete all occurrences of the found text.

What is whole word matching?

Whole word matching only replaces the search term when it appears as a complete word, not as part of another word. For example, finding 'cat' with whole word ON would not match 'catch' or 'scatter'.

How many replacements can it handle?

The tool processes all occurrences in the text, no matter how many. For very large texts, all replacements happen in a single operation.

Can I undo a replacement?

The tool shows the original and modified text. If you want to undo, simply re-paste the original text. No changes are made to external files — only the text in the tool is modified.
