A Markdown to plain text converter removes Markdown syntax (the # before headings, the ** around bold text, the brackets and parentheses of links, the pipes of tables) and leaves the readable words. Paste Markdown and the plain text appears next to it.
The converter parses the Markdown properly rather than deleting symbols with find and replace, so asterisks inside code, maths like 2*3*4 and underscores in snake_case names survive. Lists keep a bullet (•, -, * or none) and their numbers and indentation, tables become tab-separated rows you can paste into a spreadsheet, and code blocks can be kept or dropped. Links show their text, with the URL in brackets if you turn that on.
Limits: images keep only their alt text, and raw HTML tags are removed.
