What is a text reverser?

A text reverser writes text backwards. Type or paste anything and this tool shows three results at once: the whole text reversed character by character ("Hello world" becomes "dlrow olleH"), the word order reversed ("world Hello") and each word reversed in place ("olleH dlrow"). Each result has its own copy button, and everything runs in your browser.

Words are split on single spaces, so punctuation stays attached to the word it touches, and a line break counts as part of a word in the two word modes. Emoji and some accented or non-Latin characters are stored as more than one code unit and can come out garbled when reversed character by character.

Limits: it reverses the order of characters and words; it doesn't flip characters upside down, mirror them or rewrite the text.

Why use a text reverser?

Reversed text is used for word puzzles and palindrome checks, social posts and usernames, testing how software handles unusual strings, and light obfuscation (it is not encryption). Seeing all three modes side by side saves converting more than once.

How do I reverse text?

What is the difference between the three modes?

For "Hello world": Reverse Characters gives "dlrow olleH", Reverse Words gives "world Hello", and Reverse Each Word gives "olleH dlrow".

Can it reverse AI-generated text to make it sound human?

No. Reversing only changes the order of characters or words. It doesn't change meaning, wording or style.

How do I check if a word is a palindrome?

Type the word or phrase and compare it with the Reverse Characters result. If they match when you ignore case and spaces, as with "Never odd or even", it is a palindrome.

Can I make upside-down or mirrored text?

Not with this tool. Upside-down text uses special look-alike Unicode characters; this tool only reverses the order of the characters you type.
