Search Console Mastery turns your GSC data into a to-do list: pages that are decaying, pages that compete for the same query, rankings with too few clicks, and what a Google update changed. GA4 Mastery sits next to it, so search and on-site data share one Analytics workspace.
Search Console Mastery is a set of Google Search Console tools in AI Rank Lab that turn your GSC data into fixes. Through a read-only connection to the Search Analytics API, it finds decaying pages, pages competing for the same query, rankings with too few clicks and the pages a Google update moved. The maths runs on your data first; Gemini then explains the pattern and suggests the fix.
It reads only Search Console. For on-site behaviour from Google Analytics 4, GA4 Mastery and Analytics chat sit in the same Analytics workspace on a separate connection.
Six Search Console tools in one workspace
Each analysis does the maths on your real Search Console data, then Gemini explains the pattern and writes the fix.
Content Decay Radar: catch pages before they fall
It buckets 12 weeks of clicks per page into weekly totals and fits a regression line to each one. Pages that average more than 100 clicks a week and trend down are ranked by how fast they are falling, with the topics and entities Gemini thinks they are missing.
Why it is slipping: the checklist lost position to newer pages that cover client onboarding. Add an onboarding section and refresh the examples.
Cannibalization Matrix: stop your pages competing
It reads 30 days of query and page data and lists queries where two or more of your pages rank within 15 positions of each other with at least 1,000 impressions between them. For the biggest cases Gemini picks the page to keep and how to consolidate the rest.
Recommendation: keep the guide as the canonical page, merge the blog post into it and redirect.
CTR Opportunities: more clicks from rankings you have
It compares each query’s CTR with a benchmark for its position (25% for first place down to 5% for fifth, lower beyond) and scores the missed clicks. For the 20 biggest gaps Gemini writes five new title tags under 60 characters each.

MCP Command Center: ask Search Console in plain English
Ask “Which pages lost the most clicks this month?” and the assistant builds the Search Analytics query, runs it on your property and answers with the rows. It is a chat over your GSC data; the separate MCP connector brings the same data into Claude.
Pick the date of a Google update and Algorithm Impact compares the days before with the days after for every page, then names the winners and losers. URL Ranking Analyzer compares any two periods for every URL and, with your sitemap, flags pages that get no impressions at all.

What are the Google Search Console tools in AI Rank Lab?
Search Console Mastery is a set of tools in the Analytics workspace that run on your connected GSC property: Overview, MCP Command Center (chat with your GSC data), Cannibalization Matrix, Content Decay Radar, CTR Opportunities, Algorithm Impact and URL Ranking Analyzer. GA4 Mastery adds Revenue Leak, Anomaly Engine and Spam Purger on your GA4 data.
How does the Content Decay Radar find decaying content?
It groups 12 weeks of daily clicks for each page into weekly totals, fits a least-squares regression line and keeps pages that average more than 100 clicks a week with a falling slope. The ten steepest declines go to Gemini, which suggests why each page is slipping and what to add.
How do I find keyword cannibalization in Search Console?
In Search Console you would filter by query and compare the Pages tab for each one. Cannibalization Matrix does it for every query at once: it lists queries where two or more of your pages rank within 15 positions of each other with at least 1,000 impressions in the last 30 days, and recommends which page to keep.
How are CTR opportunities calculated?
Each query’s actual CTR is compared with a benchmark for its rounded position (25%, 15%, 10%, 7% and 5% for positions 1 to 5, then lower). The gap multiplied by impressions gives the missed clicks. Queries with at least 50 impressions are ranked, and Gemini writes five title tags for each of the top 20.
Can I see the impact of a Google algorithm update?
Yes. In Algorithm Impact you enter the update date and how many days to compare before and after (30 and 30 by default). It ranks pages by the change in clicks and impressions, lists the top winners and losers and writes a short explanation of the pattern.
Is the MCP Command Center the same as the MCP server?
No. The MCP Command Center is a chat inside the dashboard that answers questions from your Search Console data. The AI Rank Lab MCP server is a connector that lets assistants such as Claude call AI Rank Lab tools, including Search Console and GA4 reports.
Can AI Rank Lab import Search Console’s AI performance report?
No. The connection uses the Search Analytics API, and Google offers no API or BigQuery field for the generative AI performance report. To see whether Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode cite you, use the AI Overview and AI Mode trackers.
Do I need both Search Console and GA4?
No. They are separate connections. Search Console Mastery needs only Search Console; GA4 Mastery and Analytics chat need only GA4. Connecting both puts search demand and on-site behaviour side by side.
Is my Search Console data safe?
AI Rank Lab asks Google for read-only Search Console access, so it cannot change your property, sitemaps or settings. Data is fetched when you open a view or run an analysis, and you can revoke access at any time from your Google Account.
