An HTML headings checker lists every heading tag on a web page (H1 to H6) in the order they appear and flags structure problems. Enter a URL and this tool fetches the live page, counts the headings at each level, draws the heading outline, and reports a missing H1, more than one H1, skipped levels and empty headings.
The results have three parts. The counts row shows how many H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 and H6 tags the page has. The issues list marks errors (no H1, an empty heading) and warnings: more than one H1, duplicate H1 text, a first heading that is not an H1, a jump such as H2 to H4, headings longer than 70 characters, and H1 or H2 headings shorter than 10 characters. The outline indents each heading by level, so you can read the page structure the way a crawler or a screen reader does.
Limits: the tool reads the HTML your server returns, before JavaScript runs, so headings added later by JavaScript (common in single-page apps) do not appear. The page must be public, respond within 15 seconds and be under 5 MB. It checks one URL at a time.
