How do I convert text to Morse code audio?
Type your text in the box above. The Morse code appears as you type, and Play sounds it in your browser for free. To keep it, choose Download .wav or Download .mp3; the file is made on our server with your speed and tone settings.
What speed should Morse code audio be?
20 words per minute is the common standard and the default here. If you are learning, keep the letters at 18 to 20 WPM and turn on Farnsworth spacing with an effective speed of 5 to 10 WPM, so each letter keeps its rhythm while you get more time between them.
What is Farnsworth spacing?
Farnsworth timing plays every letter at full character speed but stretches the gaps between letters and words, so the overall speed is slower. It helps you learn each letter as a sound pattern instead of counting dots and dashes.
WAV or MP3: which file should I download?
WAV is uncompressed, so it is the better choice for audio editors, radio software and decoders. MP3 is much smaller and plays everywhere, which suits sharing, phones and video.
How much does a Morse code audio file cost?
A WAV download costs 8 credits, an MP3 10 credits and a .txt file 2 credits, taken from your AI Rank Lab credit balance. Listening in the browser is free. New accounts get 100 free credits.
How long can the text be?
Up to 5,000 characters per file, and the audio can run up to 10 minutes. For many short messages, use the bulk converter, which makes one audio file per line.
