Developers, no-code tools and APIs want data as JSON, while the people who maintain it keep it in Excel. This converter turns a sheet into JSON in your browser. By default it uses the first row as keys and gives one object per row ([{"name": "Asha", "city": "Pune"}, …]); switch to array of arrays to get every row as a plain list, header included.
Values are typed: numbers stay numbers, TRUE and FALSE become booleans and dates are written as 2026-11-03 (with the time when there is one), so the output is ready for code. Choose Text as shown to get exactly what Excel displays instead. Empty cells can be written as null, so every object has every key, or left out. Pick one sheet, or All sheets to get one JSON object with a key per sheet. Output is pretty-printed with two-space indents or minified.
Limits: the first row must hold the column names for the array-of-objects shape; duplicate names get a suffix (_1) and empty names become __EMPTY. Merged cells give their value to the first cell only. Formulas are exported as the value Excel last saved. Nested JSON is not built from dotted column names.
