Trimming keeps one continuous part of a video and drops everything before and after it. This trimmer shows your video in a player with a timeline: drag the Start and End sliders, type exact times such as 1:05.5, or play the video and press Start here and End here at the right moments. Play selection plays just the part you picked, so you can check it before cutting.
There are two ways to cut. Fast cut copies the video and sound without re-encoding, so quality is untouched, the format stays the same and even long videos finish in seconds. Because compressed video can only start cleanly on a keyframe, a fast cut may begin up to a couple of seconds before your start time. Exact cut re-encodes the selected part to H.264 MP4 at high quality, so it starts on the frame you chose; it takes longer, roughly in proportion to the length you keep.
Limits: one video at a time, up to 500 MB, and one part per run (to remove a section from the middle, trim twice and keep both parts). If your browser can't preview a format (HEVC on some Windows PCs, AVI, MKV), you can still type the times and cut it.
