FAQ schema (FAQPage)
DefinitionFAQ schema is FAQPage structured data that marks up a list of questions and their answers on a page.
Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in Search on 7 May 2026 and has removed their documentation, so the markup no longer produces the familiar question dropdowns. FAQPage remains valid schema.org, and a genuine Q&A section is still useful to readers and easy for engines to quote. Claims that FAQ markup itself boosts AI citations are unproven.
AI Rank Lab's FAQ schema generator writes FAQPage JSON-LD from your questions and answers, and validates existing markup for free.
