This audio cutter shows your file as a waveform with two handles. Drag them, tap the waveform, or type exact times such as 1:05.5 to choose a part, then press Play selection to hear exactly what you'll get, fades included. Keep only the selection (to make a clip, a sample or an intro), or remove it and join the rest (to cut out a cough, an ad or a long pause). Save the result as MP3 or WAV.
The file is decoded in your browser: MP3, M4A/AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC and OGG work, and so does the soundtrack of an MP4 or MOV video. Loading, dragging, previewing and changing options are free; only Cut and save counts as a run. Joins are smoothed with a 10 ms crossfade so they don't click, and fades in and out of up to 5 seconds are applied exactly as you heard them in the preview.
Honest limits: it cuts one range per run (repeat for more cuts) and doesn't mix tracks or change volume or speed. MP3 output is re-encoded, which costs a little quality; choose WAV if you'll keep editing. Very long files (an hour or more) need a lot of memory and are better cut on a computer.
