A Markdown table generator builds the pipe-and-dash syntax of a Markdown table for you. Type into cells as in a spreadsheet, add or delete rows and columns, and set each column to left, centre or right alignment; the Markdown updates as you type, with a preview tab to check it.
Output is GitHub Flavored Markdown, the table syntax supported by GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Notion, Obsidian, Docusaurus, MkDocs and most Markdown editors. Pretty print pads every column so the pipes line up in the source, which makes the table easy to read and diff; turn it off for compact output. Pipes inside cells are escaped (\|) and line breaks become <br>.
To edit a table you already have, open Import and paste a Markdown table, CSV rows or cells copied from Excel or Google Sheets. Limits: Markdown tables have no merged cells, and every row has the same number of columns.
