Sending a CV, assignment or letter as a PDF means it opens the same on every device and can't be changed by accident. This converter turns Word .docx files into PDFs with real, selectable text, without Microsoft Word installed.
It reads the document's structure in your browser with mammoth: headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, underline, links, bulleted and numbered lists, tables and pictures. It then lays the pages out itself and writes the PDF with pdf-lib. Page size and margins come from the Word file, links stay clickable, table header rows repeat when a table runs onto the next page, and headings never sit alone at the bottom of a page. Latin text uses standard PDF fonts; Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil and other Indian scripts, plus Cyrillic, Greek and Thai, are drawn with Noto fonts that download only when your document needs them.
Honest limits: this is a clean re-layout of your content, not a copy of Word's own rendering. Your fonts, font sizes, colours and text alignment are replaced by one consistent style; headers, footers, text boxes, shapes, columns and comments are left out, and footnotes appear where mammoth places them. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hebrew text isn't supported. Old .doc files need saving as .docx first.
