White-label branding
Brand URL-audit and progress-report PDFs with your logo and colours.
In shortWhite-label branding puts your brand name, logos, favicon and accent colour on client-facing output. Set it per domain in Settings → Account → Branding. Progress report PDFs and client links use it, including your colour, and drop the AI Rank Lab credit. Complete URL audit PDFs use your name and logo. Shared dashboards show your logo and colour to the people you share with. Branding is free.
What branding changes
Agencies hand reports to clients, and clients should see the agency's brand. Branding in AI Rank Lab is stored per domain, so each client website can carry the brand you want on its reports. It changes what other people see; your own view of the dashboard keeps the standard look apart from the header logo.
| Where | What it uses | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Progress reports (PDF and client link) | Brand name, logo, accent colour | Uses the report domain's branding, or your first branded domain if that one has none. The "Powered by AI Rank Lab" line disappears once a brand is set. |
| Complete URL audit (PDF and public link) | Brand name and logo | Uses the first of your domains that has a brand name or logo, not necessarily the audited one. Your accent colour isn't applied. |
| Dashboard header | Logo, brand name, favicon | For the selected domain, for you and for people you share it with. |
| Shared dashboards | Accent colour | Only people viewing the domain through a share see your colour. Your own dashboard stays in the standard colours. |
Before you start
- A logo in two versions if you have them: one for light backgrounds and one for dark.
- A small square favicon.
- Your accent colour as a six-digit hex code, such as
#1A73E8. - The domain selected in the domain selector. Branding is saved to whichever domain is selected.
Set up your branding
- Open the Branding tabPick the client's domain in the domain selector. Go to Settings → Account and click the Branding tab. The card is headed Domain Branding and names the selected domain.
- Name and descriptionEnter a Brand Name (up to 100 characters), which appears next to the logo, and an optional Brand Description or tagline (up to 500).
- Logos and faviconUnder Logos, upload Logo (Light Mode) for light backgrounds and Logo (Dark Mode) for dark ones, then a Favicon. Each shows "uploaded" when done.
- Accent colourType the Theme Accent Color as a hex code or use the picker. Only six-digit codes like
#1A73E8are accepted. Check the Live Preview. - SaveClick Save Branding. To go back to AI Rank Lab defaults for this domain, use Reset All to Defaults.
- Check a reportOpen AI search → Monitoring and reports → Progress reports and choose the domain. Next to its name you should see Reports use your branding: followed by your brand name. If it says Reports use AI Rank Lab branding, use the Add your logo link to go back to Settings.
The Complete URL audit PDF doesn't look up the audited site's branding. It takes the first of your domains, in the order on Settings → Domains, that has a brand name or logo. If you brand several client domains differently, URL audit PDFs will all carry the same brand. Progress reports don't have this problem.
Teammates on a shared domain see the branding but can't edit it. The hint under the colour field says it sets the dashboard accent; in practice it recolours the dashboard only for people viewing through a share, so you won't see it in your own view.
The Brand Name you save here is also the brand name that Brand memory and the AI content writer use for that domain. If you put your agency's name on a client's domain, articles written for that domain will name your agency instead of the client.
Getting the files right
- Use a wide logo with a transparent background. It sits on a white report header and next to the brand name in the dashboard, so a square logo with a coloured box looks cramped.
- Upload both versions. The light-mode logo is used on reports and light screens; the dark-mode logo is used when the dashboard is dark. If you upload only one, check how it looks in both themes.
- Pick an accent colour with enough contrast. It colours headings, lines and chart marks in progress reports. Very pale colours are hard to read on white paper.
- Keep the brand name short. It appears in report headers and footers ("Prepared by …"), so a trading name reads better than a full legal name.
For an agency, one setup is the agency's own brand on every client domain, so every report says it was prepared by you. You can address the client by name in the report's Note for your client. Remember that the Brand Name also feeds the content writer, so if you write articles for that client, their own name is the safer choice. If a client wants their own brand on reports, set their logo on their domain instead; each domain keeps its own branding.
Branding vs the white-label app
This lesson covers branding inside AI Rank Lab: your logo on reports and shared dashboards. If you want a complete audit and citation-tracking product running under your own name and domain, that is a separate offer; see White label.
