In shortThe Complete URL audit is a graded deep audit of one URL: on-page SEO, GEO and AI signals, Google AI Overview and AI Mode citations, rankings, backlinks, usability with PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals, performance and technology. Open SEO → Audits → Complete URL audit, enter a URL, click Analyze and wait one to two minutes. You get letter grades, a branded PDF and a public Share link to send a client or prospect.

What it's for

This is the audit you send to someone else. It combines checks that are spread across several tools into one report with an overall grade from A to F, and it's the only audit that puts rankings, backlinks, PageSpeed and AI Overview data side by side for a single page.

Agencies use it as a sales asset: audit a prospect's home page, share the link, and walk them through it on a call. It's also a good once-a-quarter health check for your own most important pages. It costs more than the other single-page audits, so use the SEO analyzer for routine checks.

Before you start

  • Pick the exact URL, including https://. The audit looks at that page, plus domain-level data such as backlinks and DNS records.
  • Set your branding if the PDF or share page should carry your logo. It comes from Settings → Account → Branding, and the report uses the first of your domains that has a brand name or logo. See White-label branding.
  • Check your balance. The price is in the cost table and the page links to Buy more coins when you're short.

Step by step

  1. Open the Complete URL auditGo to SEO → Audits → Complete URL audit. The page heading reads Complete URL Analyze.
  2. Run the auditPaste the URL and click Analyze. You'll see Analyzing URL… with the steps it runs: HTTP checks, HTML parsing, headless rendering, PageSpeed Insights, live backlinks and rankings, and Google AI Overview detection. It usually takes 60 to 120 seconds.
  3. Start with the Summary tabThe Summary tab shows the overall letter grade, the score out of 100, a grade for each section, and desktop and mobile previews of the page.
  4. Work through the tabsOn-Page SEO (title, meta, canonical, headings, keywords, technical SEO, images, HTML quality), GEO / AI (AI readiness signals, llms.txt, AI Overview citations, AI Mode results), Rankings (traffic estimates, keyword positions, top keywords), Links (authority, link profile, top backlinks), Usability (Core Web Vitals, PageSpeed scores, mobile and accessibility), Performance (load timings, technical checks, resources) and Technology (including SPF and DMARC email records).
  5. Download the PDFIn the bar above the tabs, click PDF. It shows Generating… and then downloads a report with your brand name and logo. Your accent colour isn't applied to this PDF.
  6. Share a public linkClick Share. A public link is created and the button changes to Copy Link. Open Report opens the public page in a new tab, so you can see exactly what the recipient sees.

How to read the result

  • Grades are relative to this tool. An A here doesn't mean an A in another audit. Compare a page with its own earlier URL audit.
  • Empty sections aren't failures. "No AI Overview data found" often just means Google showed no AI Overview for the keywords checked. AI Mode isn't available for every query either.
  • Field data versus lab data. If there's not enough real-user data, Core Web Vitals falls back to PageSpeed lab data, and the report says so.
  • Fix order: anything blocking indexing first (robots, canonical, HTTPS), then title, meta and H1, then AI signals and schema, then speed.

What it costs

A thin report still costs the full price

The audit gathers data from several sources at once. If one of them (for example backlinks, rankings or PageSpeed) returns nothing, the report still completes with that section empty, and the credits are kept. You're refunded only if the whole audit fails with an error.

Shared links stay public

Once you click Share, anyone with the link can open the report, and there's no button to make it private again. To take a link down, delete the report from Recent Reports. Also note the branding comes from the first domain in your account that has branding set, not necessarily the domain you audited.

Turn it into a sales conversation

Audit a prospect's page, open the public link yourself first to check it, then send it with two or three findings written in plain words. Point to the GEO / AI tab: most prospects haven't seen whether AI answers cite them.

Check yourself

1. The audit completes but the Links tab is empty because no backlink data came back. What happens to your credits?
2. You shared a report by mistake. How do you stop people opening it?
3. When should you use the SEO analyzer instead of the Complete URL audit?
